360Golf Success at IAAPA Expo
360Golf proves a massive hit at IAAPA Orlando 2024
Holovis are thrilled by the response to 360Golf, which made its playable debut at this month’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando. The team developed a unique hole design especially for the show, featuring a salute to the great American plains with its motorbike stunt theme. Mixing digital content, automated stroke counting and an eye-catching design, it was the perfect demonstration of the capabilities of the 360Golf product.
Over the four day show, hundreds of attendees played the 360Golf demo course, with a number of players even making a coveted hole-in-one! Each player’s score is automatically tracked by technology packed into the golf ball, with sensors around the course tracking SuperShots that gain players extra points.
Holovis' 360Golf technology is the most advanced on the market, utilising advanced tracking systems embedded into the golf balls themselves. After players register at a kiosk, each team is assigned personalized golf balls, and the system takes over from there. When players tee off, sensors across the course recognize who’s playing, track the number of strokes, and automatically calculate scores.
What makes 360Golf unique is its incorporation of special supershots, and bonus points into the course design, adding an extra layer of excitement to each game. These elements are all effortlessly tracked by the system, meaning players can focus on having fun rather than keeping score.
Each installation of 360Golf is supported by Holovis’ advanced DeepSmarts data analytics system, which offers operators valuable insights into player behavior and operational performance. The system tracks everything from player volumes and game lengths to high scores, course usage, and even maintenance schedules, ensuring optimal performance and guest satisfaction.
IAAPA follows the successful debut of 360Golf at Butlin’s Bognor Regis, demonstrating the produc't’s ability to blend immersive technology with classic entertainment. The British seaside resort recently opened three, nine-hole systems under the brand name “TechPutt”, bringing a fresh and modern twist to mini-golf and making it a must-try attraction for Butlin’s family and Big Weekender guests.
With the response to 360Golf and the demo at IAAPA, we look forward to welcoming more clients to the 360Golf family and seeing even more courses open around the world!
