Holovis Celebrate THEA Award Success
Holovis are thrilled to have been named in the credits for the prestigious TEA THEA Award win for SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in the category of “Indoor Marine Park”. We are honoured to be named by our incredible partners at Miral and United Parks & Resorts alongside the many other companies and collaborators who brought this spectacular, one-of-a-kind park to life.
Holovis have been named for their two significant contributions to the project – AV supply and installation throughout the park, and design, production and installation of the S·E·A Guardian Games, one of the World’s most ambitious interactive experiences in a theme park.
Holovis was responsible for the design, production and installation of parkwide AV, including the enormous LED screen that surrounds the park’s main hub, “One Ocean”. Standing 15m high with a circumference of 218m, this 360, cylindrical screen is one of the largest and most impressive single screens anywhere in the world. Accompanying the LED screen in One Ocean Hub is an LED Globe, measuring 5.4m in diameter, delivering a multi-faceted visual experience for the immersive content that plays at all times throughout the day. In addition to the spectacular “One Ocean” area, Holovis provided a huge range of other impressive LED screens, including the large-scale “Armillary” projection dome as well as parkwide audio and a parkwide AV control system.
Alongside the AV system, Holovis collaborated with the teams at Miral and United Parks & Resorts to design, produce and install the “S·E·A Guardian Games”, a narrative-driven, turnkey parkwide game experience that is seamlessly interwoven and integrated into the park. Guests enroll in the S·E·A (Science. Exploration. Adventure) and embark on an adventure that takes them across all eight realms of the park. They take part in over 15 interactive mini-games, find over 100 touchpoints and activate a number of unique media-moments only accessible to players of the game, as well as embarking on a host of interactive quests, scavenger hunts and side missions.
